How To Promote Your Show We at the Underground need for YOU to do your part
to promote your own show.
Flyers - get from us, or make yourself, a quarter sheet flyer with the bands, location & address, date, time, cost etc. Hand them out to record stores, take them to shows and get to know kids and hand them out, send it to us if we don't have it and we'll make sure they are here, take them to school, take a stack to Dimple and other record stores, Guitar Center etc. (Any other location suggestions?? email me) Don't have a flyer? Pick them up here, we always have flyers! Call us first to make sure we have enough. Hang out here - Come to a show at the Underground and we will let you in free as long as you are promoting your show and passing out flyers (big shows excluded, we do watch you and if you aren't promoting your band won't be let in free again.) Posters - make a plain piece of paper poster (hopefully just a large version of your flyer) to bring to the venue and put in the window. Myspace - Make sure to add your show to your 'upcoming shows'. Create an 'event' and 5-7 days before the show invite everyone in the area to your event. Title it something clever and make sure to put an 'invitation note' so some details pop in their mailbox and not JUST a link to your show. (the invite feature is broken right now though!!) Post your upcoming show as a bulletin and at the bottom ask that people repost it for THEIR friends to see. Any other promotion ideas? email them Marie! Our Info: |
